FAQ's
What can you help me with? The body works as an interconnected whole, so rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I take a holistic approach to your health. While I commonly support metabolic concerns, hormonal imbalances, and fatigue, these often overlap with digestive issues, autoimmune conditions, mental health challenges, or painful periods. If you’re unsure whether naturopathy is right for you, you’re welcome to book a complimentary 15-minute Discovery Call to discuss your health concerns and my approach.
What types of treatments do you use? Treatment plans are personalised and may include herbal medicine, nutritional supplementation, dietary support, and lifestyle guidance. Where appropriate, I may also recommend referrals to other qualified healthcare practitioners to ensure comprehensive care.
Are naturopaths science-based? Naturopathy is currently an unregulated profession in Australia, meaning anyone can use the title “Naturopath.” For this reason, it’s important to choose a practitioner who has completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy, a four-year science-based degree. I hold a BHSc (Naturopathy), along with additional science qualifications, and I am a registered member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (Member #5400). Ongoing professional development ensures my care remains evidence-informed and clinically appropriate.
Do you offer functional testing? Yes. I strongly believe in testing rather than guessing. Please email through any recent pathology reports that you have available. Functional and pathology testing allows for targeted, individualised treatment plans. I work with reputable laboratories, including iScreen, Nutripath, Sonic Health, RN Labs, InterClinical, Clinical Labs, and Co-biome, and also offer continuous blood glucose monitoring through Vively.
Is naturopathy covered by Medicare or private health insurance? Naturopathy is not currently covered by Medicare. In 2025, the Australian federal government announced that naturopathy would become eligible for private health insurance rebates; however, rebates are not yet available. Further updates are expected in early 2026. You’re welcome to subscribe to my newsletter to stay informed.
Where are you located? Face-to-face appointments are based in Bundoora and Mill Park, Victoria, and currently offer Australia-wide Telehealth consultations.
